Sotiris Ntouvas

Sotiris Ntouvas (Greece, 1982) already played in blues rock and metal bands as a teenager, but became increasingly interested in jazz. When he was 16 he went to the “Patras” conservatory of music where he finished his studies in drums under Leonidas Pliatsikas. In the same period he was giving drum and tabla lessons and gigging with different bands in Greece. He also performed with George Metaxas , Eva Kesselring and Spilios Kastanis. In 2004 he came to Holland to study with Hans Van Oosterhout at the conservatory of Rotterdam 2004. There he plays with all kinds of bands and musicians and does many jam sessions. Besides all Sotiris is interested in odd meters and Greek - Balkan traditional music. He is playing with “Antilogos” balkan jazz band and of course in the trio of Soo Cho.
