"I see my life in terms of music." - Albert Einstein

The Lagos Ensemble made its debut at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, one of the most prestigious concert platforms in the world playing Brahms first string sextet.
Since then they have developed an extensive repertoire ranging from Haydn to Kagel, with whom they co-operated on his last string quartet. Before starting an ensemble with strings, piano and voice the members of the Lagos ensemble played numerous concerts, performing in the Netherlands and Austria (including national radio), France, America and Russia.
Their approach towards chamber music is greatly inspired by the Guarneri Quartet; the different voices are all of equal quality and importance.
Recently the Lagos Ensemble has recorded the last string quartet of Mauricio Kagel which is a world first recording together with the first quartet of Tristan Keuris. The members of the ensemble are playing rare Dutch instruments built in the 17th and 18th century by Hendrik Jacobs and Johannes Cuypers.
