Vlad graduated from the Royal Flemish Music Conservatory in the year 2000 after studying with Walter Boeykens. Upon completing his studies he stayed on at the Conservatory as guest lecturer of chamber music until 2002.

Formerly solo clarinettist with the DeFilharmonie, Vlad is now a member of I Solisti del Vento, an ensemble of Belgium’s best woodwind players, and of the trend-setting Champ d’Action ensemble.
