Nicolai Munch-Hansen

Nicolai Munch-Hansen (born in 1977 in Copenhagen) is a Danish jazz musician and composer who lives in Copenhagen; famous in both jazz and rock circles and has played amongst others with Caroline Henderson, Jens Unmack, Tim Christensen, Steffen Brandt, John Tchicai, Nikolaj Nørlund and has a very close collaboration with the singer Kira Skov. Nicolai Munch-Hansens second release in his own name CHRONICLES was in 2011 nominated for two Danish Music Awards for Jazzrelease of the year and composer of the year, and in 2012 he was nominated a “Steppeulv” (an award from the independent music critics in Denmark) as musician of the year. He doesn’t know of any bothersome genre divisions within music and is know for his abilities to merge the best from all the musical worlds.
