William Burden

Tenor William Burden grew up in Florida, where he got his master's degree in Vocal Performance at the Indiana University. He was also a member of the Merola Program in San Fransisco and of the Apprentice Artist Program of the Santa Fe Opera. He became well-known in Europe and North America because of his extensive repertoire.
He debuted as Nerone in L'incoronazione di Poppea at the Houston Grand Opera and as Chevalier de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites in Madrid. He appeared as Pelléas in Pelléas et Mélisande, Janek in De zaak Makropulos (Leos Janácek), as Tybalt in Roméo et Juliette, als Gerald in Lakmé, Fenton in Falstaff en many other famous operas.
Burden has sung with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Houston Symphony Orchestra, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Florida Philharmonic, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and Les Arts Florissants in Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Barcelona and Lyon.
