Soo PARK After obtaining a Premier Prix of piano from the Saint-Maur CRR in Catherine Collard's class and a Premier Prix by the unanimous decision of the jury from the Paris CRR in Pierre Reach's class, Soo PARK began to study fortepiano with Patrick Cohen. She entered the CNSM de Paris in the fortepiano class of Patrick Cohen, where she was awarded Premier Prix of fortepiano by the unanimous decision of the jury and Premier prix of chamber music, before going on to study in post graduate programm with Christophe Coin. She was laureate at the Early Music Competition of Brugge in 1998. She's fortepiano accompanist in the CNSM de Paris since 1999. Soo Park has played in numerous festivals with artists like Véronique Dietschy, the Ensemble XVIII-21,the'Ensemble Philidor, Pierre-Yves Madeuf, Christophe Coin, and in the fortepiano trio Wohin ? with Hans-Peter Hofmann and David Simpson. She has recorded for label Arion a CD Schubert Klezmer with Ensemble XVIII-21. Her recording of Beethoven's Sonatas Tempest, Waldstein and Appassionata, on an original Jakob Weimes (ca.1807) pianoforte, published by Label-Hérisson, has received 4ffff by the french magazine Telerama. She has also recorded for the same label (with Mathieu Dupouy) Chopin's Piano Concertos, in an authentic two-piano version on two original Pleyel fortepiano and pianino.
