Tarkovsky Quartet

He moves with such naturalness in the room of dreams. » (Bergman)   In October 2006, François Couturier paid tribute to the great film director Andrej Tarkovsky with "Nostalghia, song for Tarkovsky", issued by the ECM label, followed in 2011 by a second opus: "Tarkovsky quartet".
These 2 albums were unanimously greeted by the international critique and the numerous concerts all over Europe  were warmly welcomed by the audience.     The musical and human experience during the recordings, tours and  concerts, revealed the huge potential of this highly original formation.   For François Couturier, to be the "Spiritus rector" of such a group, built on time, duration, but also friendship, commitment and trust, is a personal achievement.   The so distinctive universe of brilliant Tarkovsky literally catalyzed and federated the individualities of the group who took his name: "Tarkovsky quartet" New album « Nuit blanche «  released on April 2017   ECM records Piano, composition : François Couturier Saxophone soprano : Jean-Marc Larché Violoncelle : Anja Lechner Accordéon : Jean-Louis Matinier
