This Anniversary-year is a perfect reason to release a special book and CD: Vriend en Strijd' (Friend and Battle).

It is a book in which journalist Katja Reichenfeld has followed Jan Willem de Vriend and his collegues, starting from their early beginnings. She gives a very colourful image of the ideals, the background and the very divers oppinions.

The ensemble has build up a big national and international reputation. In the Netherlands and all around the world the ensemble has been praised for its high quality, original presntation and interpretation.

The cd that goes with this beautiful book, gives a good overview of charateristic repertoire the ensemble has played during the years.
