High French Differentiation for Dave Liebman
Officier des Arts et des Letters, that is how saxophone player Dave Liebman may call himself in the future. He is awarded with the differentiation by the French department of Culture, and due to his special relationship with France and French musicians. Before him drummer Roy Haynes and singer Stacey Kent were already awarded with this differentiation. Although Dave Liebman usually does not accept any awards or prices, he will accept this differentiation.
Dave Liebman has a new cd coming out! It is called 'Liebman Plays Weill' and it will be released in September on label Daybreak.
