Jan Willem de Vriend and the lovely Combattimento Consort will be in Vrije Geluiden on Sunday 29th of November. They will play 2 pieces of Haydn, of their release Divertimenti. There is also a surprise in the show for Jan Willem de Vriend, so do watch!

• 4 less known works for the Haydn Year 2009.
• Freek Borstlap plays the rarely played and very difficult Baryton, Family of the viola da gamba.
• This 17th century instrument has next to 9 normal strings, 24 others strings thqt resonate with the sounds and the can also be strum.
• The English call this the 'King of instruments and the instrument of kings'.
• Other then the baryton as a solo instrument, the group consists of strings with two horns
• This ensemble is directed by Jan Willem de Vriend, as akways
