Rooted in the smooth funk of seventies giants Grover Washington and John Klemmer, Heavensabove is just as laid-back, easy-listening and unpretentious jazz that doesn’t scare rock fans off.
Like many young jazz musicians who grew up in the seventies and eighties, Vloeimans doesn’t pigeonhole himself just as a jazzman.
