Liza Ferschtman in Volkskrant and coverstory in Luister
Liza Ferschtman is hot news in the media!
Thé classical Dutch magazine Luister published a coverstory of Liza (with coverpicture and 5 -aged interview) in the latest issue (fall 2010). Liza is a True perfectionist:
"You want to play as good as possible and that means that you must have a certain degree of perfection. This technique you need to help the music further. I am the last person to say: just do as you like. "
Furthermore a big article was published (september 3rd 2010) in Dutch national newspaper De Volkskrant about Liza and her love for the Russian painter Boris Kustodiev. He was, like many other artists, an important influence in her education. The atmosphere of her Russian roots, especially the Russian coutryside, had an enormous impact on the young Liza in her childhood. Kustodiev's intense working with colours can be seen as an influence on Liza as a violinist: her use of colours is an important ingredient of her violinplaying.
"In her continuous ascending career the superlatives are constant there. Sequences of adjectives where "passionate" and "expressive" are always on top of the list.
"Liza has her own carte blanche-series Together with Stichting Kamermuziek Amsterdam (KAM) starting on October 8th, in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam."
On September 3rd Liza will give an instore concert in Amsterdam in the famous recordstore 'Concerto' Together with Amihai Grosz at 17.00 hours. Liza will have a busy new season both in The Netherlands and abroad (check her international concerts here)! To begin with she will play on September 5th with Amihai Grosz and Rotterdam Sinfonia in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
In november her new album will be released: the Beethoven violinconcerto, Together with the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra and conductor Jan Willem de Vriend. And in October of 2010 she will be recording a new duo-CD for 2011 this time with her father: cellist Dimitri Ferschtman!
