New album Goeyvaerts Trio available!
The new album of the Goeyvaerts Trio is finally available! After a long time of practicing with the composers of this beautiful pieces 'String Trios from the East' has been released on February 11th.
The CD contains six contemporary pieces of Giya Kanchelli, Oleg Paiberdin, Alexander Knaifel & Sofia Gubaidulina. The trio has chosen to work with pieces of living composers. The composers were present at the rehearsals. In that way the trio really got to the True essence of the pieces, just like the Kanchelli, Paiberdin, Knaifel & Gubaidulina meant it.
On February 11th, the Goeyvaerts Trio presented their new recording in the Centraal Museum in Utrecht, in the presence of Giya Kanchelli and Oleg Paiberdin! It was a wonderful concert.
