Nobujuki Tsujii debuted in Carnegie Hall

On November the 10th, pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii debuted in the world famous Carnegie Hall! He was a sensation at the 2009 Van Cliburn Competition in Fort Worth, Texas—its first Japanese-born Gold Medalist.

Blind since birth, Nobuyuki Tsujii was joint-winner of the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Gold Medal at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2009. Since winning the competition he has appeared at the Klavier-Festival Ruhr, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Ravinia Festival, given recitals in Washington, Indianapolis, Forth Worth, Houston and Abu Dhabi, and embarked on a major Recital tour of Japan.

I was at the Carnegie Hall recital of Nobuyuki Tsujii on Nov. 10, 2011. It was thrilling.

There was extensive media coverage of this event in Japan. Here is a video that was shown on Japan TV: http://www.fujisankei.com/video_library/art/tsujiicarnegie.html

And here are photos from the recital on the official website of Mr. Tsujii: http://www.nobupiano1988.com/recitalreport/index.html

I invite you to visit a website that I started for the international fans of Mr. Tsujii -- https://sites.google.com/site/nobufans/
