Artist: Bert van den Brink, Hein Van de Geyn, Hans van Oosterhout Bert van den Brink (piano) together with Hans van Oosterhout (drums) and Hein Van de Geyn (bass), Dutch beauty! Bert van den Brink got his first classical piano lesson when he was 5 years old. At the age of 24 he graduated cum laude as a classical pianist. In the mean time he had been improvising a lot on piano and organ, though. In this field of the music Bert is completely self taught. In the first period after graduation he gave several classical recitals, but gradually the balance changed to jazz.Bert has played since than with a.o. Chet Baker, Nat Adderly, Philip Catherine,Toots Thielemans and many others and released many albums. This is the 6th in which he appears on a Challenge Records album, where we are really proud of! Together with Mr.Challenge himself, Hein Van de Geyn on bass, and Hans Oosterhout on piano he forms a trio for a long time allready, this cd is a beautiful result of it.
