Der niederländische Komponist Michel van der Aa (* 1970) gründete in diesem Jahr sein neues Multimedia-Label Disquiet Media, welches sich im Prinzip auf sein eigenes Werk konzentriert aber künftig auch offen für andere Projekte sein wird. Die erste CD beinhaltet spannende Interpretationen mit dem Royal Concertgebouw Orchester, dem ASKO | Schönberg Ensemble und dem Freiburger Barockorchester.
