Saxophonist Rob Sudduth is a Bay Area native whose direct, soulful style is a result of his experience in San Francisco’s varied music scene. He is featured with jazz composer / pianist Graham Connah’s ensemble, which has appeared at the Monterey Jazz Festival, the San Francisco Jazz Festival and New York’s Knitting Factory and performs regularly with guitarist Bruce Forman in San Francisco. Rob has toured and recorded with blues greats Joe Louis Walker, Johnny Johnson and Duke Jethro, has backed up such diverse artists as The Temptations and Rickie Lee Jones, and has toured with the Club Foot Orchestra, performing live original scores for silent films. Rob currently tours, arranges, and composes for Huey Lewis and the News with whom he has appeared on the Jay Leno and Dave Letterman shows. He also performs with Junglesauce, a classic soul-jazz quartet with Hammond organist Jim Pugh and drummer Kevin Hayes – both from the Robert Cray Band – and guitarist Chris Hayes (Huey Lewis and the News).

Originally from Kansas City, Steve Cardenas was encouraged by Pat Metheney to relocated to California where he played with Mark Isham and others. He now lives in New York City and performs with drummer Paul Motian’s Electric Be-bop Band, bassist Mark Johnson’s quartet and with singer Madeleine Peyroux. A native of Eureka, CA, Trevor Dunn is in demand in the creative music world, playing and recording with John Zorn, Ben Goldberg, Graham Connah and the experimental rock band Mr. Bungle. Since Kenny Wollesen relocated to New York City this Santa Cruz native has become one of the busiest young drummers, performing with many important artists including Tom Waits and John Zorn, the choice for many of the important figures in the ascendant generation of Jazz. Marty Wehner is one of the top trombonists in his hometown of San Francisco, touring and recording with Mingus Amungus (Live In Cuba), the Johnny Nocturne Band, Boz Scaggs and Dr. John. He has performed extensively in Italy with Enrico Rava, and leads his own band, “Funkbone” and “Ati Iroko” with pianist Omar Sosa.
