About the album

The charismatic raconteur Shelley Hirsch returns with a fabulous new ensemble led by the talented Swiss composer Simon Ho to present her greatest extended work to date. Combining new compositions with reconstructed fragments from previous work, this exotic patchwork is an exhilarating collage of songs, instrumentals and stories about an eclectic range of subjects, from Hirsch’s Ludlow apartment to her cat Tiberius, a trip through Amsterdam, 9/11 and more. Sensitive and creative arrangements perfectly compliment Shelley’s story telling in this delightful and colorful suite by a downtown legend.
