About the album
On "Land" the conceptual and compositional facets were developed for the most part with Chris Jennings, a bass player from Canada who lives in Paris. Brilliant call & response figures are provided by Karin Hammar working in tandem with trumpet-player Ingrid Jensen, who resides in New York. Alongside the diversity and compositional strength of her playing, Karin Hammar gives evidence that her abilities equally rely on the virtuosity and openness of a "global" ensemble.
