About the album
On "Scent Of Jungle" Martin Dahanukar is performing with his most recent quartet. The live concerts of this group became the kick-off for diary-like compostions that emphasize each of the personalities within the ensemble and highlight their styles of improvisation. Both the 'teamwork touch' and the solos are tighty intertwined on the delicately woven 8 tracks presented here. Apart from strikingly rhythmic undercurrents, listeners will discover sonic cells that float as if in slow motion, an aesthetic that thrives on the contrast between agitation and deep absorbtion.
