Voces Intimae's great performance in the Concertgebouw!
The Italian Piano trio Voces Intimae with Riccardo Cecchetti (piano), Luigi De Filippi (viool) en Sandro Meo (cello) gave an excellent concert in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam last Sunday October 30th.
The trio plays on period instruments from the time of Robert Schumann and they capture the audience with it! The instruments sounds so intimate and physical with a beautiful raw edge to it. No polished grand romantic sound but creating romaticism by way of an almost earth bound, human sound!
Mpodia journalist Peter van belkom was there at the concert as well: "…right from the start the musicians are totally attuned to one another and they grab the audience immediately. They do not do this in a bombastic or muscular manner, but by way of playing with a sort of fragility. This is how they capture the audience totally.."
