L'Harmonie des saisons

The musical ensemble L’Harmonie des saisons is based in the heart of Quebec’s magnificent Eastern Townships, celebrated for scenery whose breathtaking beauty changes with the seasons. The ensemble consists of vocalists and instrumentalists (playing period instruments) who, with international guest artists, mainly perform sacred and secular early music. L’Harmonie des saisons was founded in 2010 by multi-instrumentalist Mélisande Corriveau, its artistic director, and by renowned New York–based conductor and harpsichordist Eric Milnes. The artists who collaborate on the ensemble’s various projects come from Canada, the United States, Central and South America, and Europe. To date, the ensemble has performed more than 50 concerts. As well as presenting a concert series in the Eastern Townships, it has also played at major festivals such as Orford, Classica, and Montreal Baroque, and toured in the United States and in South America. L’Harmonie des saisons has received grants from the Canadian government (through Fondation Musicaction), the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, and from the cities of Granby and Lac-Brome.
