About the album

Hans Dulfer - tenorsax | Gerald van Dijk    - trumpet |
Miguel Boelens - altsax | AreMc - raps | Smita, U-Gene, Yuli – voice samples | handieMan - bass, guitars, keyboards, programming

The progressive saxophone player Hans Dulfer joined forces with producer handieMan, who added his funky beats to Dulfers saxual melodies. Instead of his usual 'heavy-jazz' repertoire, the Dutch King of Jazz has chosen a more 'loungy' approach, and shows a completely different side of himself on the 'Scissors' album. A side that, up until now, we haven't seen before.
handieMan maurice [Maurits de Weert] is a producer/musicdirector at the music/internet company Tree-Top. His musical methods can best be described as arrangements of down-tempo funky beats with an atmospherical character, combined with hard drum and basslines.
