About the album

Artist: Rob Madna, Marius Beets, Eric Ineke, Ferdinand Povel

Rob Madna, born in 1931, has been around for a long time, making his first recordings in 1955, back when few Dutch jazz musicians got to record. Around that time he contributed to the famous Philips series "Jazz behind the Dikes," and could also be heard on the Columbia-LP "Jazz From Holland", together with legendary drummer Wessel Ilcken. Madna's trio with Marius Beets and Eric Ineke recorded live for "en blanc et noir" #6 in 2000. They were joined on four tracks by one of the most esteemed Dutch saxophonists, Ferdinand Povel.
