"The only truth is music." - Jack Kerouac

David Linx (Brussels, 1965) knew how to play music before he learned the alfabet. He played drums, flute and piano and after getting to know the songs of Ella Fitzgerald, he decided to become a singer. Before he is 10 years old he appears as a self-taught singer on the jazz scene to stay there. He played with Horace Parlan, Toots Thielemans, Harry 'Sweets' Edison, Slide Hampton, Richard Gaillano, Steve Coleman, Victor Lazlo, Nathan Davis, and many more. As a composer-songwriter he got as far as the Count Basie Orchestra. In 1996 David was nominated for the Django d'Or in France for the category best jazz singer, together with Abbey LINCOLN and Cassandra WILSON. His first nomination in a long row.
