Hans Eijsackers

Hans Eijsackers

Hans Eijsackers (The Hague) won at the age of 13 the first Rotterdam Piano-Driedaagse and Princess Christina Competition and in 1991 the European Piano Competition plus the Special Prize for the best song accompaniment. In 1992 he graduated at the Sweelinck Conservatory of Music in Amsterdam. He studied with Koos Bons, Gerard van Blerk, Jan Wijn and György Sebök. He performed in Poland, Budapest, Cornwall, Italy, New York, Russia and the Far East (Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan). In 1993, as well as 1994 Hans received the Medal of the Friends of the Concertgebouw with baritone Geert Smits and flautist Liesbeth Niesten.
He teaches at the conservatories of Utrecht and The Hague and performs as soloist, chamber musician and song accompanist. In 2010 he will perform concertos by Mozart, Brahms and Martinu with Holland Symphonia, the Schumann Philharmonie in Chemnitz and the Dutch Chamber Orchestra. Some of his compositions have been performed regularly the last decade: “El Beso”, for voice, saxophone and piano, and “Bekentenis”, for narrator and ensemble.
