The Camerata Antonio Soler was founded in late 2011 with the purpose of addressing a diverse list of works of all styles, emphasizing the Spanish classical and romantic repertoire. The core of the group consists of fourteen wind and string musicians from the area of San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Madrid – Spain). All professionals with proven artistic worth and frequent collaborators in the best European orchestras specialized in historical performance, such as The Orchestra of the Age of the Enlightenment, European Union Baroque Orchestra or Les Arts Florissants.
The Camerata has performed on several ocasions at the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, as well as the Auditorio del Escorial with such soloists as Marta Infante (mezzo) or Josetxu Obregón (cello). In addition, the Camerata was the Orchestra in residence for the International Congress of Musicology APARM in Lisbon (2014). The group has already recorded four CD’s with unknown works by Gaetano Brunetti and Luigi Boccherini. The first CD (Brunetti.
