"If you were music, I would listen to you ceaselessly, and my low spirits would brighten up." - Anna Akhmatova

Claire Marchand

Acclaimed by the critics for her subtlety of colors, technique and magnificently balanced virtuosity, Claire Marchand won the Opus Prize in Québec for the best concert of the year in the contemporary music category. She can be heard on the ATMA label in a recording of 20th century music for solo flute and on the Analekta label, playing the Mozart concerto for flute and harp with Les Violons du Roy, conducted by Bernard Labadie.
