Alexandre Sylvestre

Bass-baritone Alexandre Sylvestre, originally from Lanaudière, Québec has been heard on the Canadian and American operatic stages for the past 10 years. Known for the ease of his acting and vocal abilities, he excels in comic roles and is appreciated for his warm tone.  Alexandre has performed at many opera houses across Canada with more than a dozen roles to his credit.   His most recent include Colline and Schaunard, as well as Bartolo and Basilio (Barber of Seville).  Equally at ease in orchestral repertoire, he has worked with conductors such as Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Kent Nagano, Paul Nadler, Hervé Niquet, Jacques Lacombe, Giuseppe Grazioli, Robert Dean, Robert Tweten, and Timothy Vernon.
