Violinist Kerson Leong gained international attention in 2010 when, at the age of 13, he won the Junior First Prize at the Menuhin Competition in Oslo, Norway. He also won the 2015 Radios Francophones Publiques Prix Jeune soliste. As well as winning the Canadian Music Competition’s Grand Prize five years in a row (2005-2009), he won its 2014 Stepping Stone prize. In 2013, he won the National Arts Centre Orchestra Bursary Competition, as well as first prize at the OSM Standard Life Competition. Kerson was named Revelation Radio-Canada 2014-2015 for classical music.
