Daniel Myssyk

Daniel Myssyk has been the artistic director and conductor of the Appassionata chamber orchestra for more than 15 years. In 2007, soon after completing his conducting studies in the United States, he became a professor and the director of orchestral activities at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, where he won tenure in May 2014. In 2015, Daniel Myssyk made his debut in Mexico, leading the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Guanajuato, and was immediately invited to return. In the fall of 2015 he led both the Symphony Orchestra of the State of Michoacán and the Richmond Symphony Orchestra. In recent years, he has conducted the Appassionata in Richmond as part of its first American tour, and taken the orchestra on the road again in January 2014, this time to Ontario, where it played to full houses and enthusiastic audiences.
