"If you were music, I would listen to you ceaselessly, and my low spirits would brighten up." - Anna Akhmatova

Tilman TrĂ¼dinger

Tilman Trüdinger, born in 1983, began playing the cello at the age of 9. After preparatory studies in Stuttgart, he began in 2003 studying cello and chamber music with Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt and Hans-Christian Schweiker at music conservatories in Dresden, Weimar and Cologne, completing his studies with honors. He received further important input through master classes with Siegfried Palm, Frans Helmerson, Jens-Peter Maintz and David Geringas, among others. Already during his studies he was engaged as substitute principal cellist with the Robert Schumann Philharmonic in Chemnitz. As a highly sought-after chamber music partner, he has performed in numerous festivals, is the cellist with the Saxonia Piano Trio, and since 2011 serves as a member of the Robert Schumann Quartet.
