"I see my life in terms of music." - Albert Einstein

The violinist Tessa Badenhoop studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts, at the conservatories of Düsseldorf and Cologne, and at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam with Alexander Kerr. She studied chamber music with the Alban Berg Quartet at the Musikhochschule Köln. Tessa Badenhoop won the 1st prize at the 'Jugend musiziert' competition. She also won a scholarship at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena. She followed Masterclasses with H. Krebbers, T. Brandis, G. Carmigniola, M. Fried and I. Ozim. During her studies she was a member of, among others, the German National Youth Orchestra, the Gustav Mahler orchestra, the Kölner Kammerorchester and the Kölner Philharmoniker. Since 2000 she has been the first violinist at the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra. She also regularly gives concerts with various chamber music ensembles.
