About the album

Frank Woeste, who lives in Paris today, was born in Hanover, Germany in 1976. He studied in Bremen and Paris and has won numerous prizes over the past years: 2nd place prize in the “Montreux International Solo Piano Competition”, 1st place prize at “Jazz á Mennecy” and at the “Concours Charles Trenet” and lots more. He has gained a lot of experience on tours in Europe, the USA and Asia. Today, he is a pianist in much demand, which co-musicians are glad to confirm: “a terrifically good jazz pianist” (Rob Madna) and “excellent touch and sound” (John Taylor). His current trio with Mathias Allamane (bass) and Matthieu Chazarenc (drums) interprets compositions by Frank Woeste (piano, Fender Rhodes), but also two standards: “How Deep Is The Ocean” (Irving Berlin) and “Day Dream” (Billy Strayhorn).
