About the album

Pierre-Luc Vallet, originally of French origin is presenting his own trio for the first time on TCB. He lived in Brazil for a few years playing with some of the greats before moving to Switzerland, where he resides since many years now and is teaching at the Jazz School at Lausanne. Pierre-Luc is also a long time member of PIANO SEVEN und the direction of François Lindemann.

Together with Philippe Aerts from Belgium and Swiss drummer Marc Erbetta they perform in trio in Switzerland and France since some years now. A classic Jazz Trio format at its best for you to discover.

Pianist born in 1961, Pierre-Luc Vallet received classical training at the Conservatory of Geneva and then played in the 80s in several bands in Switzerland. In 1986 he settled in Brazil and participated in the recording of fifteen company drives among other Horta Toninho, bassist Luizão Maia and drummer Paulo Braga. Accompanying the singers Tadeu Franco, Paulinho Pedra Azul and integrating the quartet of saxophonist Nivaldo Ornelas in 1987, it is presented in the largest cities in Brazil. Back in Switzerland in 1990, Pierre-Luc Vallet is mainly devoted to the music of jazz. The State of Maurice Magnoni Sounds and Erik Truffaz's quintet occur in France, Switzerland, then tours in Russia, Africa, the Czech Republic, the Baltic States and Brazil....

In 1995, invited by François Lindemann, Pierre-Luc Vallet Piano Seven joined the group that presents for shows in Europe, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, Taiwan, Lebanon, Egypt, Brazil and the Festival Montreux in 1996. In 1997, "Pierre-Luc Vallet Jazz Quartet" with drummer Marc Erbetta, guitarist Jean-Philippe Zwahlen and bassist Gilles Coquard performs a tour of 15 concerts in Brazil. Pierre-Luc Vallet occurs in Switzerland with the Big Bang of Lausanne, trio, quartet and quintet to his name in the company of musicians such as Alvin Queen, Adam Nussbaum, Mike Richmond. With drummer and guitarist Peter Schmidlin Claude Schneider, Pierre-Luc Vallet also gives trio concerts at the Hammond B3 organ. A CD of original compositions at the piano trio and quartet was released in May 2007 on the French label with a distribution Fairplay Harmonia Mundi. The CD was selected FIP (France Inter Paris) in June 2007. A second disc, Aqua was released in 2012 on the Swiss label TCB. In June 2015 released a third album to Hammond: Live at the Bird's Eye. Pierre-Luc Vallet participated in thirty discs and Steinway Artist. He teaches piano at the Jazz School and Music Current (EJMA) in Lausanne and at Hemu Jazz Conservatory.
