About the album

Steve Grossman is the most internationally known of the guests on this beautiful CD of this sextet. Student of the great Barry Harris, Fabris had the chance to collaborate many times with Grossman during the long stay of the American saxophonist in Italy.
Some years ago I was surprised by Michael Brecker's reply to a question by an interviewer of his opinion concerning the direction the tenor sax was taking at that time. He answered that in order to know what direction the instrument is taking you only need to listen to Steve Grossman.

The other guest, trumpeter Tom Kirkpatrick, is an inspired soloist whom many people have come to appreciate due to his years of outstanding collaboration with - among others - Walter Bishop’s „Charlie Parker Memorial Band" and with Lou Donaldson. A ‘straight ahead Jazz CD’ introducing some of the finest in Jazz in Italy together with the guests Grossman and Kirkpatrick….
