About the album

She is the new vocal-jazz sensation in a Parisian scene already jam-packed with impressive names. Now in her early 30s, Lou Tavano is bringing out her first album, an oeuvre that will attract the same attention as her trade-mark shock of fiery-red hair. Every song on “For You” is its own little cosmos that reveals Tavano’s extraordinary talent for creating a musical universe in which words carry just as much weight as the notes.


The story begins at the age of 5 years. His father, a musician, the registrant at the conservatory where she studied for 11 years classical piano. Soon, Lou discovers a passion for singing. In 2005, she joined the American School of Modern Music, a subsidiary of the renowned Berklee School of Music in Boston. She will study jazz for 4 years as a professor with Peter Giron, Bernard Vidal and Rick Margitza and singing with Daniela Barda as teachers, Marc Thomas and Helen Perraguin. It is in this school she meets Alexey Asantcheeff . Then everything goes very fast ... In 2009, the final contest of Crest Jazz Vocal propels her on stage at the Jazz Festival in Fareins, opening Alfio Origli. In 2011, she met Michael Cheret who decides to devote 5 of the 10 tracks of his new album Manaverem the young singer he considers a real voice revelation ... .In November 2012 "Alexey Asantcheeff Meets", the first album as a leader Lou Tavano born.
