In addition to years of experience as a musician, bass player Martijn Vanbuel also has a lot of experience as a world citizen. He lived in Paris, Shanghai (China) and Taipei (Taiwan). He studied jazz double bass at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven and CNSMDP in Paris, but also works as a pianist and accordionist. In the home country he played with important jazz musicians such as Dré Pallemaerts, Bert Joris, Frank Vaganée and was a member of the Robin Verheyen Trio and Jazzisfaction. He is bassist of the Tim Finoulst Trio and the wout Pierreux Trio.
In Taipei he leads his own band Orbit Folks and played with international names in transit, including Ari Hoenig, Tony Lakatos, Joel Holmes, etc ...
Martijn previously taught in Taiwan at the National Tainan University of the Arts and nowadays in music academies Musart in Hasselt and the music academies of the Heilig Graf in Turnhout.

With Orbit Folks bassist-composer Martijn Vanbuel brings out his own brainchild and at the same time introduces his first album published in Belgium. This ‘global citizen’ lived a.o. in Paris, Shanghai and Taipei, and worked at high levels with notables in jazz, pop and world music. In the project Orbit Folks Martijn combines all of these influences into his own whimsical universe, for which he borrows sounds, rhythms and colours from every corner of the musical world. Orbit Folks presents filmic music, often longer compositions, but groove-based and with enough space for improvisation. Think intelligent and hypnotic world-jazz-rock, somewhere in the middle between Weather Report, Tortoise and Jaga Jazzist.

Carlo Nardozza is an internationally renowned trumpet player. He is primarily a performing musician and plays jazz, pop and Big Band music. As a young trumpeter, he won numerous awards both at home and abroad.

His current projects include Trio in Bocca al Lupo (with Tim Finoulst on guitar and Alano Gruarin on piano), Duology (with Christophe Devisscher on bass), Delirium Quintet (with Nico Schepers, Bart Denolf, Tony Vitacollona and Tim Finoulst), 11 (with Michel Bisceglia on piano), and the trio Moi, lui et l'ami (with Katia Malecki and Tim Finoulst).

In addition, he is a regular member of OTOmachine, Jelle van Giel Group and the Bram Weijters Quartet, and regularly performs with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra.

Carlo has shared the stage with numerous major artists, including Toots Thielemans, Bert Joris, Philip Catherine, Paul Michiels, Lady Lynn, Lee Konitz, Dado Moroni, Henri Texier, Bobby Shew, George Duke, Bruno Castellucci, the Rosenberg Trio, Natalia, Raymond van het Groenewoud and Michel Camilo.
