About the album

Jessica de Boer:
Grow - my first album
In a way, the release of this album is the fulfillment of the things I sing about, heralding a new season. I’m looking back, ahead and at the world around me. So it’s not just about me, it’s about all of us.
An album about emerging, growing (up), trusting and longing. Longing for something that’s certainly coming.

... Definitely an exceptional debut - in great anticipation of the next musical "strike".
Concerto, Austria, 01-4-2022

... De Boer has a high vocal expressiveness, her songs don't slip into complicated experiments, and she wrote all the tracks herself (in four cases with her manager and guitarist Eric Brugmans) ...

... In the eleven songs of "Grow," the young singer looks back, forward and at the world around her, asking herself: what encourages us to grow, and what holds us back? " ...
Jazzthing, 23-3-2022

... All in all, a dreamlike unity of all participants can be heard, a mood that uses elements of jazz and a bit of pop in a very loose and relaxed way...
